It took me far to long…

Next week, DrumHerum 2018 is happening in Regen. My last homepage update was just after DrumHerum 2014 – it took me far too long to overhaul my site. Nearly 4 years have passed and much happened in the meantime. The update process is ongoing – I do not only add new content here on my homepage, but also soundcloud and my facebook page will get changes. I most likely delete the facebook page, because the concept of abos in facebook made it irrelevant (you can now follow someone without having him/her to add you as friend). I already added new content to the soundcloud page (the featured picture above is the setup of the recording session). Links will follow. What I’ve already done is to add photos I made in the recent years and reorder the galleries. Enjoy!

First additions…

Beside the page for my “Erinnerungstropfen” album there is now the page Accordion under the music menu item. It collects some of my activities on this instrument that can be found online. The new menu item and page “Appearances” links to my other web profiles on Facebook, Flickr and Soundcloud. The works I make find themself on this page only in a very late and final state of their existence. If you want to follow my photographical or musical work in a more timely fashion use one my community pages.

The featured image was shot on my short 20h visit to the Drumherum festival in Regen, Bavaria. You’ll find the whole gallery at over at facebook.

Best regards.

A restart…

One month ago, the WordPress database of got lost. I couldn’t connect to it any more (and so could’t the visitors). The last time I did a backup was about half a year ago. Manageable. But, instead of reestablishing the old I decided to do spring cleaning: Recreate the portfolios from the scratch and get rid of unnecessary content. Redesign the page. What you see now is the result of this process.

There will not be an extended blog in the future, only news. I will never be a good writer, I presume. Instead, the “Music” section of the page will get more attention by adding recordings and detailing out my musical projects. “Up-to-date” work from me will, as it is since a long, long time, of course be presented at flickr.

So long, Markus
